Testing ContextWeb’ ADSDAQ
Alan Brody’s iBreakfast this morning had an interesting panel on ad exchanges, with executives from ContextWeb, DoubleClick and Right Media. Google and Yahoo acquired the last two earlier this year.
ContextWeb last Spring launched ADSDAQ. The New York-based startup promises publishers higher CPM prices, real-time contextualization and more different ad type options than Google AdSense.
So I decided to give it a whirl. The sign-up process is surprisingly painless. From now on you will see some banner ads appear at the top and left side of these pages.
The ‘fill rate’ is only 6.45 % at the moment though. The default is still the empty placeholders. Just keep reloading the page. ![]()
For the last few weeks I have already been testing the advertising options in Blip.tv’s excellent video hosting service. Web2NewYork now has banner and video advertising.
We’re gonna be rich!
