Camlink aiming for Valentine’s Day
Online speed dating company Camlink is preparing for a launch on Valentine’s Day. Co-founder Ilya Zatulovskiy will unveil a beta version of the site at Tuesday’s Web2NewYork networking party.
Last month Camlink released a Facebook video chat app. Instant Video Messenger is Flash-based and doesn’t require a client install.
Camlink’s four principal members are 2005 Polytechnic University Computer Science graduates. The New York-based team is currently looking for an initial round of at least $2 million.
Zatulovskiy and partners will have to move fast. Others are jumping on video speed dating. Sites like SpeedDate and 15MinuteDate are already up and running.
Zatulovskiy founded TopCelebSites.com while still in high school and in 2000 co-founded Novasonic, one of the first companies to introduce MP3 CD players to North American and European market.
