Kaltura to present at Web2NewYork November

Brooklyn-based Kaltura had a good September. The collaborative video editing site officially launched and won the people’s choice award at the TechCrunch40 conference in San Francisco.

Online group video making is an intriguing idea, but questions remain. How is Kaltura different from Jumpcut.com? Does its mash-up of online video and wiki make sense beyond a web 2.0 boom?

CTO Shay David explained Kaltura’s vision last week at the Wealth of Networks conference in Boston. Video and slides are available on Kaltura’s company blog.

On November 20th CEO Ron Yekutiel will present Kaltura at the Web2NewYork networking party.

Kaltura was founded in October 2006 and is based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The company so far received $2.1 million in funding from angels and Avalon Ventures.
