Veotag competitor may return with vengeance
In June Veotag wrote this obituary on the demise of their closest competitor Click.tv. Both companies are in the video tagging space. Another competitor is New York-based Motionbox.
Veotag’s CEO Scott Rhodes mourned the loss of San Francisco-based Click.tv ‘because they had an interesting product that should have been useful to some’, but still hoped ‘that their customers will come to Veotag to get the service that they lost’.
Click.tv’s CEO immediately responded that ‘there’s no grave to dance on’. Michael Arrington at TechCrunch now reports the rumor that Cisco has acquired Click.tv.
Video has become a vital element in Cisco’s strategy since their acquisition of Scientific-Atlanta in 2005.
