Cruxy promos for Blue Note, Matador
Cruxy still looked a lot like another YouTube clone when I interviewed founders Jon Oakes and Nathan Freitas last Fall for Dutch magazine Emerce. Since then the Brooklyn-based startup has sharpened its focus as a media marketplace for independent content creators.
Apparently Cruxy has most success these days with its Cruxy Player for Second Life. Today they organized a listening party in Second Life for Rough Trade/Matador act The Long Blondes. On July 13th they had a similar virtual event for Suzanne Vega’s new album. Vega is now on Blue Note. Weird.
