Aaron Bollinger on web 2.0 for non-profit

Posted by Peter on July 27 under Business, Events, nextNY

Aaron BollingerKickApps is one of the rising stars in the New York web 2.0 industry. The company packages social networking functionality in an enterprise-ready platform. HBO, BET Networks, Scripps Networks and VIBE Magazine use KickApps’ platform to integrate and maintain web 2.0 features in their sites.

Aaron Bollinger, sales director at KickApps, attended last week’s Web2NewYork networking party. On Tuesday August 7 he’s giving a presentation on ‘Myspace, Social-networking, and Web 2.0 for Small Businesses and Non-Profits’ at Bluestockings Bookstore.

The bookstore is on 172 Allen Street between Stanton and Rivington, just a few blocks from our regular spot Gallery Bar. Aaron’s presentation starts at 7 pm. It should be interesting. I’ll be there. For more on Aaron see the website for his book The MySpace Social Guide.

KickApps will present at Web2NewYork sometime this Fall.

John, that’s a blatant commercial pitch, but it’s OK. :-) It’s relevant in this context. Would you be interested in presenting Marzar at the next Web2NewYork networking party?

    Peter,

Yes I know it was it was shameless but that’s how I came into contact with you and you event in NY. So it was a good thing as I really enjoyed the event and meeting everybody.

I am pleased the way the launch went and we have most of our Beta testers on the site now offering forward some great ideas.

I feel really positive about how the site will be developing and some of the user feedback has been excellent so far.

People are still welcome to join and get involved.

Thanks again and I look forward to talking to you soon and attending another event in the New Year.
